In Loving Memory

Ann Elizabeth Brown

April 24, 1958 - March 9, 2005

On March 9, 2005, Therapy Dogs of Southern California, the Orange County based chapter of Therapy Dogs, International, lost one of their original and most beloved members.   Ann Brown, 46, passed away with her family at her side.

Ann Brown was an original member of TDSC, as well as other therapy dog groups throughout Orange County.  Ann had also volunteered with the Big Sister program for children with diabetes at Children's Hospital in Los Angeles.

Faced with numerous illnesses throughout her lifetime, Ann dealt with each health setback with a positive attitude and an indomitable spirit.  Ann and her beagle, Ruby, were an inseparable pair, and together they amassed more than 2,000 visits to patients throughout Southern California.  Despite her own illnesses, Ann brought joy and comfort to thousands, and she will be greatly missed.
